De-Clutter Your Life!

Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 preset

Just as Elijah was about to depart from Elisha, he asked, “What shall I do for thee, before I be taken away from thee.” Elisha responded, “I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.” I don’t know about you, but I’m believing God for a double portion. One of the requirements for obtaining the double portion is to begin the process to de-clutter your life. When a house is being renovated the old stuff has to be tossed out in order to make room for the new. What new things is God trying to introduce into your life, but all the clutter blocks it? What things, people and places or habits clutter your life? De-cluttering requires that you develop what I call the gift of letting go. Ever notice when you are cleaning out closets, drawers, the attic or garage you talk yourself into keeping stuff you should have let go a long, long time ago? It’s time to let go of your old mindset. Let go of toxic relationships. Let go of debilitating habits. Let go of….you fill in the blank. Let the de-cluttering begin!
