Butterflies

colorful-3242347_1920“…the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.”  Genesis 9:16

Life with Christ is like that of a caterpillar

Who suddenly realizes he is becoming a butterfly.

Our wings are not yet fully developed

And our colors are a muted hue.

+++

The outer shell of a caterpillar is not attractive.

However, it provides protection while the inner shell is under construction.

We sense that something good is about to happen to us.

Sometimes we struggle to discard the outer shell prematurely.

However, in our infant state in the Lord, we do not have the strength to do so.

+++

As time goes on through Christ,

Our wings strengthen and grow.

As our wings strengthen,

We spread them touching areas we’ve never before touched.

We begin to gain confidence in who we are in Christ Jesus.

Our colors begin to reflect the colors of the rainbow

And our Promise!

+++

May the Lord continue to fill your life

With His Colors Of Sunshine

To brighten your day

Rain to promote your continued growth in Him

Clouds to shelter you from each Storm

And His Everlasting Light to lead and guide you.

+++

Be blessed and be a blessing!

Lovingly Submitted,

Sis. Lorraine Castle
