God wants to expand your capacity to think. The Bible says, “as a man thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). We serve a big God. We’re created in His image and likeness. What does thinking big look like? Instead of asking God to pay off your mortgage, you pray that He would bless you in such a way that you not only can pay off your mortgage, you can pay off other people’s mortgages, and it doesn’t make a dent in your finances! Don’t settle for crumbs, a slice or even a loaf of bread when God wants you to own the bakery!
Dream big! Small mindedness limits what God wants to do in your life. Why put limits on a God who has unlimited resources? You must adopt a kingdom mindset to flow in your purpose and walk in promise. Are you a kingdom-thinker? Kingdom thinkers are vision-minded. Don’t waste your time with small-minded people. Surround yourself with kingdom thinkers. Kingdom is about rulership, dominion, territory and authority. As God’s image bearer, He has given you the power and authority to claim territory, rule and have dominion. There are domains God has given you rule over. To do so requires not just thinking outside the box. Step outside the box, and then destroy the box so you don’t resort to old ways of thinking and behaving. If it’s not broke, break it. Be an innovative thinker.
You may be saying to yourself, “that’s just not me.” The Bible says, “be renewed in the spirit of your mind” (Ephesians 4:23). Renewal comes from reading your Bible on a daily basis. Doing so looses the shackles on your mind and frees your thinking. “Let this mind be in you, which is also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5).
When you think big, you’ll pray big. God wants to exceed all you can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Ask, then believe God for the impossible. Start thinking BIG.
