Have you ever found yourself buried beneath the weight of your circumstances and unable to dig yourself out? Situations like this can cause you to doubt God’s love and His willingness to come to your aid. Child of the Most High God, nothing is too difficult for your Heavenly Father. One of the many provisions of salvation is that God’s help is always readily available to you.
Recently I found myself facing an extremely challenging situation. Although I asked God for help, I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to work things out on my own. So many things were screaming for my attention I couldn’t concentrate on anything. It dawned on me I needed to stop and check in with God. But it wasn’t until I sat down and prayed for God’s help that my spirit was quieted. Once I settled down, I gained a sense of direction on how to approach the situation. It’s impossible to hear from the Lord when you’re constantly on the move.
If something concerns you, it concerns God. He’s ready and waiting to help you, even when you’ve messed up. God has more grace than you have trouble. He not only wants to help you, He will help you.
Psalm 46:1 lets us know God is an available help in time of trouble. You don’t have to suffer needlessly trying to tackle things on your own. Pray for God’s help. Then when you finish praying, you must allow God to help you in His way and in His timing. Embrace and be patient with the process knowing that God is working things out on your behalf. God is committed to your victory.
Until next time…Be blessed!
