Maya’s Dream

Maya LaBoo is our guest blogger this week. Read on and enjoy her post!

It was early 2020, I woke up from the most amazing dream. I was standing in the middle of my very own studio. Surrounded by images of photos I took: families, birthdays, fashion/editorial, maternity, self-portraits, thousands of countless memories captured with a single click. I woke up feeling excited, but also very heavy, feeling doubtful that I’d ever get there in real life. Me? Have a studio? Nah!

BUT GOD! He obviously knows the desires of my heart, because here I stand, in my very own studio, prepping and getting ready to capture holiday portraits in time for Christmas (my favorite holiday).

Is it my dream come true? No. But I know it is the start. I can’t wait to see where this journey will take me. The memories we will capture. The moments we will cherish.

I say all this to tell you: never give up on your dreams, even the ones that seem impossible. If it’s something that you truly desire, make it happen. And watch the small steps you take toward your dream each day grow to the vision aspired. Most importantly, continue to trust in God, that He hears the desires of your heart, and will bless you with even greater than you imagined for yourself.

What vision or goals do you have for your life? That one thing you want to accomplish, but feel it’s too hard or impossible to ever achieve? Take a leap of faith with me. I believe by faith that God will hear this desire, and if it be His will begin to open the doors for you to make it happen.
