Never Give Up!

I don’t know about you but there have been times in my life when things got so difficult, I threw in the towel. What’s nerve-wracking is whenever I threw in the towel, God always threw it right back at me.

Even the strongest of Christians experience times when they want to give up. God knows there will be times when we grow weary in our walk with Him. That’s why the Bible tells us in Galatians 6:9, “Let us not to be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

The passage of time can begin to gnaw at your faith and cause doubt to seep into your thoughts and speech. Satan wants you to think time is your enemy and is in short supply. On the contrary, time is the incubator for the manifestation of God’s promises. No matter how things look, or how you feel, it’s not too late. God is not absent-minded. He’s not a dead-beat dad. God has neither abandoned nor forgotten about you. What concerns you concerns God. God will release your blessing when you’re ready for the blessing and the blessing is ready for you.

I Corinthians 9:24 says, “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.” In this verse Paul likens our Christian walk to a marathon race that requires discipline, endurance, and perseverance. Salvation enters you into this race. Unlike races we’re accustomed to, all who enter the race of salvation are destined to win. When weariness tries to overtake you, be determined to stay the course. You’ve come too far to give up now. Why quit when God says you have the victory? Romans 8:28 guarantees all things will work out in your favor.

God uses time to work things out on your behalf. Your job is to seek God’s will and hold onto His unchanging hand. During the process it’s crucial to keep your spiritual battery charged. Connect daily with the Lord through prayer and Bible reading and allow Him to replenish you. God has anointed and empowered you for every challenge that comes your way. You are anointed to persevere, not quit.

Be assured the wait won’t be as long as it has been. The going may get rough at times but expect to come out on top. Start to envision yourself beyond your now. Remind yourself of all the times God worked things out for you in the past. God did it before and He’s faithful to come through for you again. The reward for all your troubles is imminent. The reward is available to all God’s children, not just a select few. God Himself is the reward. With God comes healing, deliverance, restoration, wholeness, peace, joy, and a multitude of blessings. Keep the faith. Keep believing. Keep working. Keep pressing. And never give up because you’re destined to win!

Until next time…Be blessed!
